Cherry Creek Falls

Pretty easy hike. The slight downfall is it’s mostly downhill going in. But the majority of the trail is an old logging road. The end is kind of ridiculous, as you have to backtrack before dropping down to the falls.

The Trail

The trail, in 2014, had a handful of creeks running through the trail, so it’s a good bet that your feet will get wet. Mine did, as I was wearing low-top trail shoes. It’s also a pretty close hike, which means it’ll be popular on nice days.

Cherry Creek Falls, according to the WTA, is a 5 mile roundtrip, with an elevation gain of 450′. Because of the lack of elevation, there’s not a lot of scenery- you’re just walking through the woods.

Gear

Sturdy shoes that can get wet and muddy. Clothes appropriate for the day’s weather.
